Table Games at Casina

Table games are a secondary section at Casina — the catalogue is slots-led — but they are the part of a casino where the player's choices actually change the arithmetic. On a slot the house edge is fixed by the game's design. At a table, picking one variant over another, or one bet over another, can halve what the game costs you per hour. That difference is worth understanding before sitting down.

Roulette: one number decides everything

The wheel spins, the ball lands, and bets pay according to a fixed table. What matters is which wheel you are at. European roulette carries a single zero and a house edge of about 2.7%. American roulette adds a double zero, which raises the edge to roughly 5.26% — the same game, the same bets, nearly twice the cost. There is no situation in which the American wheel is the better choice, and the only reason to sit at one is not having noticed.

Bets divide into two families. Inside bets — straight numbers, splits, corners — pay long odds and land rarely. Outside bets on red or black, odd or even, or the dozens pay short and land often. Neither is better value: the edge is identical across almost every bet on the table, and the choice is purely about the shape of the variance you want.

Blackjack: the game that rewards study

You play against the dealer, aiming to finish closer to 21 without going over. Cards count at face value, picture cards are ten, and an ace is one or eleven as it suits the hand. Each round offers hit, stand, double or split on a pair, while the dealer follows fixed rules — typically drawing to 17.

Because the dealer has no choices and you do, blackjack is the one common casino game where correct play meaningfully lowers the house edge. Basic strategy — the tested best action for every combination of your hand against the dealer's upcard — can bring the edge under 1% on favourable rules. Two rules to check before sitting: a natural blackjack should pay 3:2, not 6:5, and the dealer standing on soft 17 is better for you than drawing. Those two lines are worth more than any betting system ever invented.

Baccarat and casino poker

Baccarat is the simplest table in the building because there are no decisions at all: you bet Player, Banker or Tie, and the cards are dealt to a fixed pattern. Banker wins slightly more often, which is why it carries a commission — and even after that commission it is the better of the two bets. The Tie bet pays spectacularly and costs a house edge several times higher than either alternative, which is the whole story about it.

Poker at a casino means formats such as Casino Hold'em or Three Card Poker, where you play against the dealer rather than other players. There is no bluffing and no reading opponents; there is a paytable and a correct threshold for raising, and the skill is entirely in knowing that threshold.

Limits, and choosing a table

Every table displays a minimum and a maximum bet in euro before you sit. Low-limit tables let a modest balance last across many rounds, which is usually the point; high-limit tables suit larger stakes and nothing else. Match the minimum to your session budget rather than to ambition — a €20 balance at a €5 table is four rounds, and four rounds is not a session.

Beyond limits, read the rules posted at the table: the roulette variant, the blackjack payout for a natural, the commission on Banker, and any side bets on offer. Side bets almost always carry a considerably higher house edge than the main game they are attached to.

Pace and control

Tables move faster than they feel, and an online table with no other players moves faster still — several hundred decisions an hour is normal. Decide a budget and a time before starting, take breaks, and never raise a stake to recover a loss, which is the one betting pattern that reliably turns a bad session into a worse one. Deposit limits, loss limits and time-outs are on our responsible gambling page; the cashier, with €10 deposits and €20 payouts, is covered on the payments overview.
